Custom Mini Photo Studio

Wussup y'all..

Couldn't sleep early last night due to tipsy-ness, so i made this:

"What's this?", you ask.. it's a custom mini photo studio for taking pictures of my collection, that's what it is :)

I got this idea from the office. I work in an advertising agency and the designers often take photos of products with a black background and then crop the product from the JPEG image to get images of products that they or my client don't have.

Thanks to advertising, i was able to make this black perforated-cardboard wonder. Pretty sweet huh? Yeah.. Below are the measurements. Please, copy this and make one for yourself if you like to take pics of your toys.

I took shots of my Kidrobot 6" Ralph Wiggum and my Micro Machines Millenium Falcon, and the results are not bad at all. In fact, i'm quite happy with how it turned out. Check out the results and judge for yourself, hahahahaha..

Pretty awesome for pics taken with a cellphone cam, right? :) And these are shots of the falcon..

As you can see, the black and side backgrounds should be made high enough to avoid lights leaking from the sides and top side.

If you are looking to create your own custom mini photo studio, this should do the trick.. i mean, i'm sure other people can do better or got better lighting ideas etc. But i'm happy enough to share you this, so good luck in making one and snap away your collection till you're content :)
